The Rotaract Club of Chinatown Manila recently convened for its first general assembly of the Inspiring Rotary Year, marking the beginning of a new chapter filled with enthusiasm, camaraderie, and service.
The assembly commenced with an inspirational message from the President of our sponsoring club, RC Chinatown Manila. Their words of wisdom served to ignite the passion within each member, urging them to strengthen the bonds of fellowship and service that unite the club. Following the president's address, CP/PDRR Alexiz led a session on Rotaract 101, providing new members with a comprehensive introduction to Rotary and Rotaract principles, while also offering a refresher for existing members. This educational segment aimed to deepen members' understanding of Rotary's mission and values. The history of the Rotaract Club of Chinatown Manila was then recounted by PP Raki, offering insight into the club's rich heritage and past achievements. This reflection served as a reminder of the club's journey and the legacy upon which members continue to build. With the introduction of the new set of officers, the club welcomed fresh leadership and vision for the upcoming year. Inspiring President Mikee shared his ambitious plans for the term, setting the tone for a period of innovation and growth. The assembly also kicked off fundraising efforts for future projects, highlighting the club's commitment to making a tangible difference in the community. The general assembly was not only a gathering of members but also a testament to the club's strong connections within the Rotary family. The presence of our sibling club, the Rotaract Club of Chiang Kai Shek College, added to the sense of unity and collaboration among Rotaractors. Overall, the evening was a resounding success, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to Rotary's ideals. As members departed, they carried with them a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm, ready to embark on a year of meaningful service and fellowship alongside their Chinatown-Manila family.
